Untamed Wildlife
Home to a rich array of wildlife, from the famous Big Five animals that live in Denali National Park — grizzly bears, wolves, moose, Dall sheep and caribou — to bald eagles and humpback whales that migrate through the Inside Passage.

It’s the absolute height of summer: warm, dry and alive with energy.
November to February (Winter)
Alaska experiences long, cold winters with temperatures dropping well below freezing. The state is known for its winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding and dog sledding. The northern lights are also a common sight during the winter months.
March to April (Spring)
Spring in Alaska is a time of transition as the snow begins to melt and the landscape starts to come alive with new growth. It is a great time for wildlife viewing as animals come out of hibernation.
